GUWAHATI, Oct 27: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised the Northeast’s natural beauty and harmony, describing it as a source of inner peace and self-reflection for visitors.
Speaking at the 21st Biennial Convention of the Krishnaguru International Spiritual Youth Society in Khanapara on Sunday, he shared his admiration for the region.
“I am in the Northeast, where the natural harmony invites all who visit for self-discovery and inner tranquillity. Since my arrival, I have experienced a profound sense of calm. The wealth of enlightenment I am gaining here is truly beyond words,” he said.
The convention also saw Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal encourage youth to embody the values of Paramguru Krishnaguru Ishwar, calling on them to enhance their character and contribute to societal progress. “With the ideals of Paramguru Krishnaguru, our youth must dedicate themselves to reclaiming Bharat’s ancient spiritual, cultural, and social heritage,” Sonowal urged.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma echoed this call to action, urging attendees to work for societal upliftment and stating his belief that, through collective efforts, India could again be recognized as a Vishguru. He encouraged Krishnaguru followers to be inspired by the teachings in their contributions to society.
Earlier in the day, Vice President Dhankhar was warmly welcomed at the airport by Governor Laksman Prasad, Chief Minister Sarma, Union Minister Sonowal, and other dignitaries, marking a notable beginning to his Northeast visit.
