IMPHAL, Oct 28: In a targeted operation against extortion networks, Manipur Police on Saturday apprehended two active members from the KYKL and KCP (Noyon) factions in the Narankonjil area of Imphal West District.
The individuals, identified as Thongam Naoba Meitei (21) and Huidrom Prabhash Singh, also known as Nonil (23), were reportedly involved in extorting funds from local residents and businesses. During the arrests, authorities seized a four-wheeler, multiple mobile phones, Aadhaar cards, wallets, and cash.
In a separate action on the same day, another active member associated with KCP (PWG), identified as Oinam Amar Singh, alias Joy (47), was detained by the police at Keibul Chingmeirong Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur District. Officials recovered mobile devices and SIM cards from his possession.
