NEW DELHI, Oct 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually handed out more than 51,000 job appointment letters to young recruits on Tuesday as part of the Rozgar Mela initiative, which aims to empower youth by creating valuable employment opportunities that aid in national development.
The Rozgar Mela will be held at 40 locations nationwide, facilitating the hiring of new employees across various central government ministries and departments, including the Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Recruits will participate in foundational training through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This platform provides over 1,400 e-learning courses intended to develop essential skills, helping new employees perform effectively in their positions and support the goal of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
During the event, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of this initiative in enhancing the skills of young professionals, contributing to a workforce equipped to tackle the challenges of nation-building.
