AIZAWL, Nov 1:   Security forces apprehended two women and confiscated heroin worth over Rs 22.7 lakh during a focused raid in the Maubawk area of Aizawl on Thursday night. The operation was jointly carried out by the Assam Rifles and the Special Narcotics Police Station CID Crime, resulting in the recovery of 32.430 grams of heroin.

The suspects have been identified as Kimkhonlming Lhangmal, 43, from Churachandpur, Manipur, and Vanlalsawmi, 42, a resident of Maubawk School Veng, Aizawl.

Both women, along with the seized drugs, have been transferred to the Special Narcotics Police Station CID Crime in Aizawl for further investigation.
