Dengue Cases in Manipur Rise to 2,078 with 41 New Infections Reported in 24 Hours

IMPHAL, Nov 5:   In the past 24 hours, Manipur has reported 41 new dengue cases, increasing the total count to 2078. According to the Directorate of Health Services’ report released on Tuesday, 28 of the new cases were found in Imphal West, while 11 case was identified in Imphal East and 2 case in Bishnupur districts.

Imphal West leads with the highest number of cases, totaling 1,464, along with four deaths. Imphal East follows with 427 cases, and Bishnupur has recorded 64 cases and one death. Other districts affected include Thoubal with 52 cases, Kakching with 28 cases, and Churachandpur with 15 cases.

Kangpokpi has reported 13 cases, Ukhrul and Chandel have four cases each, Noney has three cases, and Tamenglong has two cases. Kamjong and Senapati have each reported one case.

Health officials are closely monitoring the situation and urging resident to adopt preventive measures against dengue.
