AIZAWL, Nov 7: Acting on specific intelligence about explosives being transported, Assam Rifles alongside Mizoram Police on Wednesday, set up a Mobile Vehicle Check Post on the Serchhip-Thenzawl road in Mizoram.

The security forces intercepted a vehicle and conducted a thorough search, leading to the discovery of 9,600 gelatin sticks, 9,400 detonators, and over 1,800 meters of Cordtex. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the illegal explosives.

The seized materials and the detained individuals were handed over to local authorities for further investigation, as security forces continue to address illegal activities in the region.
