Manipur Students on National Integration Tour Visit Agra

IMPHAL, Nov 9:   As part of the National Integration Tour, a group of 20 students from Manipur had the opportunity to visit Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on November 6-7, 2024, following a successful tour in Delhi. Organized by the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavna, the tour is designed to promote national integration and cultural awareness among youth.

During their two-day visit in Agra, the students explored significant historical sites, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and Sikandara, with guided tours providing them an immersive experience into India’s rich heritage and diverse history.

One of the highlights was their visit to the Army Airborne Training School, where they witnessed a live paratrooper freefall jump demonstration and learned about the mechanics of parachutes. The students interacted with the Commandant of the school and toured the Parachute Brigade Museum, gaining insights into the bravery and contributions of Indian paratroopers in past battles.

A statement from the PRO Defence for Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh highlighted the program’s goal of fostering unity among youth. The tour will conclude in Imphal on November 12, 2024, is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to nurture cultural awareness and unity, reinforcing its commitment to national integration through the engagement of young minds.
