GOC Spear Corps Visited Red Shield Division in Manipur

IMPHAL, Nov 14:   Lieutenant General Abhijit S. Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps, recently completed a two-day visit to Manipur aimed at assessing the state’s internal security and formulating a plan to enhance peace and stability. Held on November 12-13, his visit included evaluations at the Red Shield Division in Leimakhong to review operational readiness and security challenges.

During his visit, Lt. Gen. Pendharkar toured Leimakhong Military Station, YKPI, and Bishnupur to assess the current security conditions. He engaged in discussions with key military and police officials, including the GOC of the Red Shield Division, the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR) East, the Deputy Inspector General of IGAR South, and other Formation Commanders. These talks focused on addressing operational challenges and mapping a strategic path to aid the state in restoring peace.

Lt. Gen. Pendharkar commended the professionalism, dedication, and high morale of all formation ranks, highlighting their neutral and impartial approach to security duties.
