AIZAWL, March 24: In a major operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Mizoram Police seized a significant quantity of ammunition, explosives, and other materials from a house in Lunglei district, located along the unfenced border with Myanmar and Bangladesh.

The joint operation led to the recovery of 6,200 rounds of 7.62 mm AK series rifle ammunition, 1,800 meters of cordex, 600 detonators, 20 meters of safety fuse, and various other items.

The operation was based on specific intelligence inputs received by the BSF’s 92 Battalion border guarding force under the Mizoram and Cachar Frontiers. Three individuals, including a woman, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
