Budget Session of Parliament Resumes After Holi Break

NEW DELHI, March 17: The Budget Session of Parliament resumed on Monday after a four-day break for the Holi festival. Several key reports are set to be submitted in the Lok Sabha today, while the Rajya Sabha is expected to discuss issues related to various ministries, including Home, Agriculture, Health, Railways, and Water Resources.

BJP MP Radha Mohan Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Virendra Singh will present reports from the Standing Committee on Defence for the Grants of the Ministry of Defence for the year 2025-26. The Standing Committee on External Affairs, led by Shashi Tharoor and Arun Govil, will present the Fifth Report on External Affairs (18th Lok Sabha) concerning the Demands for Grants of the Ministry of External Affairs for the year 2025-26.

The Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment will also present its reports on the Demands for Grants (2025-26) for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Additionally, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will move a motion for the election of two members to the Court of the University of Delhi.

The second part of the Budget Session, which began on March 10, will continue until April 4.
