New Delhi, September 25: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Class 10 and 12 board examinations for the 2025-26 academic session will commence on February 17, 2026, with a tentative date sheet released for the exams.
For the first time, the Class 10 board exams will be conducted twice in a single academic session. The first edition is scheduled from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second edition will take place from May 15 to June 1, 2026, according to CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.
Meanwhile, the Class 12 board exams are set to be conducted from February 17 to April 9, 2026. Bhardwaj added that evaluation of answer scripts will generally begin approximately 10 days after each subject’s examination and will be completed within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is scheduled on February 20, 2026, evaluation is expected to start on March 3, 2026, and conclude by March 15, 2026.
The move to conduct a second edition of Class 10 board exams aims to provide students with flexibility and additional opportunities to improve their performance and ensure a smoother examination process.
