SENAPATI, June 8: In the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit CCM (Compassion Children Ministries) Campus on May 31st and June 1st, 2025, the Surveillance unit, IDSP Senapati, and District NCD Cell under NHM Senapati, led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sumpi Percy and her team, organized a crucial awareness program on communicable diseases, including Scrub Typhoid and Typhoid. The event also marked the observance of World Hypertension Day 2025.

The program, held at Compassion Children Ministries Campus, aimed to educate the community on preventive measures and management of these diseases. Key activities included awareness and screening of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) by the NCD Cell, Senapati. The initiative benefited not only the CCM family but also neighboring households, who received medicine and expert guidance.
Dr.Sumpi Percy, Dr A. Mercy, Dr Sahriinii and team members emphasized the importance of timely detection and treatment of hypertension and other Non communicable diseases and also Communicable Diseases which pose significant health risks, particularly in post-flood scenarios. By providing essential healthcare services, the event underscored the commitment to community well-being and health promotion.
