SENAPATI, Jan 29: The tripartite talks between the Centre, the Manipur government, and the United Naga Council (UNC) will take place on January 30, 2025, in Senapati district to discuss the UNC’s demand to roll back the creation of seven new districts by the Government of Manipur on December 8, 2016.
The talks will be held in the presence of A. K. Mishra, Advisor of the Northeast section of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ministry of Home Affairs’ North East Division has issued a notice to the president of the UNC, informing them of the meeting scheduled at 11 am on January 30, 2025. The notice also requested the UNC president to attend the talks along with their team.
The previous round of tripartite talks, held on November 29, 2024, in Senapati, remained inconclusive.
