CHURACHANDPUR, April 3: Churachandpur Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar on Thursday expanded relief operations beyond the district headquarters, visiting multiple camps housing internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Sangaikot and Saikot Blocks today. His visit aimed to assess the living conditions of the displaced residents and provide immediate assistance where needed.
During his tour, Kumar personally engaged with IDPs, listened to their concerns, and assured them of the administration’s commitment to their well-being. He urged camp residents to maintain faith in the District Administration and security forces while stressing the importance of their cooperation in ensuring regional stability.
Beyond the relief camps, the deputy commissioner also visited local villages, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities in the affected areas. His interactions with students and staff were focused on ensuring continued access to essential services despite the ongoing crisis.
Kumar was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Thangboi Gangte, Chief Executive Officer Lalthazam, and several district officials. The administration has pledged to visit all remaining relief camps in the coming days to assess needs and provide further support.
