The IIIT Mayangkhang is expected to become a prestigious institution of higher learning, offering world-class education and creating new opportunities for local youth. “This institution will open new avenues for the youth and help shape the future of the region,” the Chief Minister stated. Initially approved by the Manipur State Cabinet and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the temporary campus is currently located in Mantripukhri, Imphal, while the permanent campus is being established in Mayangkhang, Ningthoupham Village, Senapati District.

In addition to the IIIT, the construction of the multi-level parking facility, the first of its kind in Manipur’s Senapati District, aims to alleviate transportation challenges and improve local infrastructure. The Chief Minister noted that these projects signify more than just physical development, stating, “They reflect our broader vision for a bright and prosperous future for the hill districts of the state.”

Both initiatives are part of a larger goal to enhance connectivity, education, and infrastructure in the hill districts, contributing to the overall growth and development of Manipur.
