MOREH, March 22: 27 Myanmar nationals were successfully deported from India on March 21 at the Land Port Moreh. The deportation process was carried out after securing the necessary clearance from Immigration and Customs authorities at the port.
The operation was closely overseen by key officials, ensuring its smooth execution with robust security measures in place. The personnel involved in this effort included the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Moreh, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moreh Police, 5 Assam Rifles, Bureau of Immigration Moreh, and the Land Customs Station Moreh.
The deportation of the Myanmar nationals followed a thorough verification process, facilitated by the Immigration and Customs authorities at ICP Moreh. After clearance, the deportees were escorted by Moreh Police and 5 Assam Rifles personnel, ensuring their safe and orderly handover to Myanmar immigration authorities.
Once all formalities were completed, the 27 individuals were handed over to the Immigration authorities in Tamu, Myanmar, completing the process without incident. The entire operation was carried out peacefully, with no reports of untoward events.
