Imphal, September 30: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Manipur, has announced the results of its Short Film Competition 2025, held on the theme “E-Challan Awareness, Follow Traffic Rules, Go Digital”. The competition aimed to raise public awareness on key social issues through the power of storytelling.
The top three winners were recognized for their outstanding films:
- First Prize: Shri Kshetrimayum Priyobrata Singh from Chingkhu, Imphal East, for “Green Light”
- Second Prize: Shri M Lem Laishram from Heirok Part-3, Ngarouthel, for “Chumlibara? Lallibara?”
- Third Prize: Smt Yumnam Bindurani Devi for “The Last Ride”
Additionally, consolation prizes were also awarded to two entries, “Mitkup Amada”, by Shri Devchand Khuman from Naoremthong Khulem Leikai and “Wrong Place, Right Lesson”, by Kabi Tingchoi Production, Majungla House, Senapati Bazar.
All entries were evaluated by a committee comprising renowned filmmakers, subject experts, and representatives of the Department, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment.
DIPR Manipur organizes the Short Film Competition across multiple themes, inviting filmmakers, content creators, and the public to create impactful films that promote awareness and positive societal change.
