DIPR Manipur Invites Entries for Statewide Short Film Competition on Social Issues

IMPHAL, June 24: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Manipur, has announced the launch of a Short Film competition aimed at raising awareness on important social issues through creative storytelling.

The competition is open to filmmakers, content creators, and the general public. DIPR encourages participants to produce impactful short films that promote social awareness and positive change in society.

The competition will focus on five thematic areas: ‘My City, My Responsibility’, ‘Say No to Single-Use Plastic’, ‘E-Challan Awareness’, ‘Unity in Diversity’, and ‘Support, Don’t Punish’. These themes are intended to engage the public on pressing civic and social concerns through a creative medium.

“The contest is open to all, and participants are required to submit films with a maximum duration of two minutes,” said the DIPR. Entries must be submitted in either English or Manipuri and in MP4 (HD) format.

Participants must submit a completed entry form along with their short film, which can be provided via pen drive, DVD, or an online link. Submissions must be delivered to the DIPR head office at Nityaipat Chuthek, Airport Road, opposite the BJP office in Imphal West, during official working hours. A hard copy of the entry form is mandatory and must accompany each submission.
