Senapati, September 23: The District Level Orientation and Process Lab under the Adi Karma Yogi Abhiyan (AKA) for Senapati District was inaugrated today at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati, marking a significant step toward strengthening grassroots governance and participatory village development. The programme, running from September 23 to 25, brings together district and block-level trainers, officials, and key stakeholders to prepare for village-level planning across 94 villages in the district.
Chairing the inaugural programme, SDC Senapati, Panii Ngaonii, explained the objectives and significance of the initiative, highlighting how it is designed to benefit tribal welfare and strengthen grassroots governance.
Launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a national initiative aiming to train 20 lakh tribal leaders, with a focus on empowering youth, farmers, and marginalized communities.
Deputy Commissioner Mamoni Doley, IAS, in her address, stated that the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a grassroots movement focusing on empowering grassroots governance. She highlighted that the initiative aims to sensitize stakeholders about various government schemes, promote convergence among departments, and ensure last-mile service delivery in tribal areas, fostering holistic and inclusive development in the community.
During the orientation, 8 District Master Trainers equipped 101 Block Master Trainers with the knowledge, tools, and methodologies needed to implement the Abhiyan at the grassroots level. These trainers, alongside Block Nodal Officers, will lead Block Level Orientations and Village Level Workshops, conducted in a block-wise and cluster-wise manner to ensure broad participation and effective mobilization of resources.
A key component of the initiative is the creation of Village Vision Documents 2030 and Village Action Plans, serving as long-term development blueprints for each community. These plans will address livelihoods, health, education, natural resource management, and cultural preservation, ensuring development is inclusive, participatory, and aligned with local needs.
The district aims to complete all village-level processes and documentation by October 17, 2025, supporting the mission of building self-reliant, vibrant, and visionary rural communities under the Adi Karma Yogi Abhiyan.
