SENAPATI, Feb 19: Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is set to organize the District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026. The event will be held on February 27, 2026 (Friday) at the Science Block of the college.
The competition, open to youth in the 18–25 age group, will deliberate on the theme “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy.” Registration is being conducted through the MY Bharat portal, with the deadline set for February 26, 2026, till 11:59 PM.
The initiative aims to provide a platform for young participants to understand the functioning of parliamentary democracy, develop leadership qualities, and engage in meaningful discussions on public issues. The programme is expected to encourage youth participation in democratic processes and promote awareness about legislative practices.
The Youth Parliament is part of ongoing efforts to nurture responsible citizenship and strengthen democratic values among the younger generation.
