Imphal, October 24: Manipur Police arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered illegal narcotics in Manipur’s Senapati district, police said on Friday.
The arrested peddler has been identified as Md. Bogimayum Khommei (54) of Paobitek Maning Leikai in Imphal West district. He was arrested on Wednesday from Martyrs Park along NH-2, under Mao-PS in Senapati district.
Nine soap cases containing brown sugar, weighing 119 grams were recovered from his possession.
Another peddler, identified as Md. Muhammad Iboyai (51) was also arrested in front of Tengnoupal police station in Tengnoupal district on Thursday.
One packet of WY Tablets weighing approximately 1kg approx along with a two wheeler were recovered from his possession, police added.
