CHANDEL, Nov 2: The District Sports Association (DSA) Chandel football team was given a grand welcome at a reception ceremony organised by DSA Chandel. The team emerged champions in the men’s football category at the 7th edition of the Hill Districts Sports Association Manipur (HIDSAM) Sports Meet 2025 held in Ukhrul which was concluded on Friday.
The event was held at Thoruwl Turf, Liwa Khullen Sarei, where Rev. John Khartu, Evangelist, led the blessing ceremony. Dr. T.S. Chamna Anal, President of DSA Chandel, felicitated the players and officials for their remarkable achievement.
Among the dignitaries who attended the reception were Shri D.B. Kowar Lamkang, Acting President of AMFA, Shri H.L. Lovingson Anal, Vice President of DSA Chandel, Shri Th. Albert Chothe, Vice President of DSA Chandel and Shri Samson Ngoruh President of Chandel District Sepak Takraw Association.
DSA Chandel’s victory was marked by a thrilling 2-1 win over Ukhrul DSA in the final match. The ceremony highlighted the district’s sporting prowess and the team’s dedication.
The DSA Chandel also felicitated Mr. Joyshing Monsang unanimously elected as Vice President (Administration) of HIDSAM, following the election held at Ukhrul on 30th October 2025.
