Churachandpur, July 25: In a significant step towards decentralizing access to competitive examinations, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Selection Post Examination 2025 was successfully conducted for the first time at Churachandpur Government College IT Centre on Thursday.
A total of 65 candidates were assigned to the centre on the opening day, with the examination scheduled to continue at the venue until August 1, 2025. The seamless conduct of the exam marked a crucial moment for aspirants from Churachandpur and surrounding areas, who have long struggled with the logistical and financial burdens of travelling to distant examination centres.
The inclusion of Churachandpur as an official SSC examination centre is being widely seen as a reflection of the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and ensuring equitable access for youth in rural and remote regions. Aspirants in the district have welcomed the move, expressing relief and renewed motivation to pursue competitive examinations closer to home.
The Churachandpur IT Centre, inaugurated earlier this year on January 7 by Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has emerged as a digital hub for learning and assessments in the region. Officials noted that the facility is now instrumental in enhancing digital education and expanding examination opportunities within the district.
The district administration has urged all residents to extend full cooperation in maintaining a peaceful and supportive environment throughout the exam period. Officials emphasized that collective efforts are vital to protect the aspirations of the student community and ensure the smooth conduct of upcoming examinations.
