IMPHAL, June 8: Amid escalating tensions in the state, a delegation of Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) met with the Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today to address the prevailing law-and-order situation. During the meeting, the MLAs urged the Governor to intervene and facilitate an amicable solution to the ongoing unrest in the region.
The Governor assured the delegation that all necessary steps are being undertaken to resolve the issues raised and to restore peace and normalcy across the state.

Following the discussion with the MLAs, Governor Bhalla convened a high-level security review meeting with senior administrative and law enforcement officials to assess the current ground situation and coordinate security measures.
The review meeting included key personnel such as the Security Advisor, Director General of Police (DGP), Commissioner (Home), Secretary to the Governor, Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South), Inspector General of CRPF, and other senior officers.
