Oking, September 8: The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has revoked a ban on three Zeliangrong organizations, citing changed circumstances, new leadership, and an appeal from the Co-ordination Committee Zeliangrong Region.
The revocation comes in supersession of a 2018 directive from the Office of the Vice-President, where the ban was imposed due to the alleged deliberate defiance of government orders and involvement in anti-national activities by the organizations.
The three organizations previously banned were:
• The Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Nagaland and Manipur)
• The Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Nagaland and Manipur)
• The Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Nagaland and Manipur)
“Considering the changed circumstances, emergence of new leadership and the appeal made by Co-ordination Committee Zeliangrong Region, the ban imposed on the above organizations is hereby revoked in consultation with the Collective Leadership,” the order read.
As per the directive, all restrictions and prohibitions imposed on these organizations are lifted with immediate effect.
