CHANDIGARH, Oct 5: Voting is underway in Haryana for the single-phase Assembly Elections on Saturday, covering 90 constituencies. By 11 AM, the voter turnout stood at 22.70%. Polling, which started at 7 AM, will continue until 6 PM. More than two crore voters are set to decide the fate of 1,031 candidates.
Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal assured that tight security and webcasting have been arranged to ensure a smooth and fair election. To facilitate the process, 20,632 polling stations have been established statewide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged voters to participate in large numbers, urging young first-time voters in the state to make use of their voting rights.
