SENAPATI, Oct 29: The Yaruiwo of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has announced the promotion of Major General Honreishang Shadang, MSM, MC, to the rank of Lieutenant General and his appointment as the new Longvibu (Commander-in-Chief) of the Naga Army.
The appointment was made through an official order issued by the Yaruiwo (President) of the GPRN, Q. Tuccu, on October 29, in accordance with the Naga Army Rules and Regulations, Chapter VI, Article No. 63, and the Yehzabo (Constitution) of the GPRN, Part III, Article 8(I), Clause-i.
The order stated that Lt. Gen. Honreishang Shadang’s elevation comes in recognition of his loyalty, faithfulness, sincerity and efficiency in the service of the Naga nation building.
He succeeds General Anthony Ningkhan Shimray, MC, VC, who is set to retire on November 29, 2025, after years of distinguished service to the Naga Army. Lt. Gen. Honreishang Shadang will officially assume office as the Longvibu on the same day.
