HSLC Exam Conducted Smoothly in Manipur; 1,695 Students Appear in Senapati

SENAPATI, Feb 19: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination for English was conducted peacefully across the state of Manipur, as confirmed by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM). A press release issued by BOSEM, signed by Ayam Thoi Singh, Controller of Examinations, highlighted that no candidates were expelled or caught impersonating during the examination, emphasizing the smooth and fair conduct of the exam. The board expressed satisfaction with the examination process and pledged to maintain transparency and order throughout the remainder of the HSLC exams.

Menawhile, a total of 1,695 students are appearing for the HSLC examination in Senapati district alone, spread across 8 different exam centers. These include Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School in Maram, Mao-Maram Hr. Sec. School in Tadubi, Sardar Patel High School in Mao, Bethany Hr. Sec. School in Senapati, Lao Radiant Hr. Sec. School in Karong, D.V. School in Senapati, Purul Hr. Sec. School, and Paomata High School. The exam centers are well-equipped to ensure a smooth process, with special arrangements made for physically challenged students.

Rang David Kung, MCS, ADC/ADM, and the district Nodal/Coordinating Officer for the HSLC exam, confirmed that all necessary preparations had been made. The district administration had formed inspection teams led by an Assistant Inspector of Schools from the ADC, Senapati, and graduate teachers to monitor the law and order situation and ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. Quick Response Teams were also on standby for emergencies.

The Paomata High School exam center, hosting its first-ever matric examination, was inspected by the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM), who assured a clean and healthy environment for students. Flying squads from BOSEM, led by Kuba John, A.I., also visited the center to monitor the proceedings.

Saloni Tony, President of SDSA, encouraged students to approach the exam with calmness and fairness, avoiding any panic or fear. The efforts to ensure a peaceful and organized atmosphere for the students’ exams reflect the commitment of the district authorities and educational bodies to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
