IMPHAL, June 17: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continous rainfall and thunderstorms across Manipur from June 17 to 20, accompanied by overcast skies and elevated humidity.
In addition, the IMD also issued a weather alert for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, with wind speeds likely to reach 30 to 40 kmph at isolated places across various parts of the state for the next three days.

Accoding to the forecast, on June 17, 18 and 19, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places with daytime temperatures around 28°C and nighttime lows near 22°C. And on June 20, rainfall is likely to persist with similar temperature conditions and isolated thunderstorms.
Citizens are advised to stay alert for any weather-related emergencies.
