SENAPATI, Nov 22: The combined team of Senapati Police and D-78 CRPF successfully seized a total of 680 liters of DIC liquor worth ₹68,000 in two separate operations. Both operations were conducted along National Highway-2.
In the most recent operation conducted on November 22 at around 6:40 PM, a combined team of D-78 CRPF and Senapati Police, led by ASI Akha, intercepted two autorickshaws along NH-2. The operation resulted in the seizure of 360 liters of DIC liquor valued at ₹36,000.
The liquor was being transported by Bishal Tamang (26), son of Prem Tamang of Maram Bazaar, Senapati, and Rajen Rai (34), son of Ratan Rai of Sadim Nepali Village, Senapati. The seized items were handed over to the OC of the Excise Station in Senapati after completing formalities at the Senapati Police Station.

Earlier, on November 20, 2024, at approximately 6:30 PM, another operation was conducted at T. Khullen Naka Point. A joint team of Senapati District Police and D-78 CRPF seized 320 liters of DIC liquor worth ₹32,000 from two autorickshaws.
The carriers were identified as Bal Bahadur (38), son of Ram Bahadur Tamang and Prasang Tamang (39), son of Ram Bahadur Tamang from Lairouching Village, Senapati. The seized liquor was handed over to the OC, Excise Station, Senapati, following formalities at the Senapati Police Station.
