Main Accused in Abdul Kadir Murder Case Arrested by Manipur Police

IMPHAL, June 23: The Manipur Police have arrested Longjam Khaba Singh alias Boi, 35, the main accused in the murder of Md. Chesam Abdul Kadir, who went missing on June 11 and was later found dead.

Khaba Singh, is reported to be a commander of the group ‘Arambai Tenggol’, was apprehended late Sunday evening from Mongsangei Makha Leikai Arubam Leikai near Puthiba Laibung Complex in Imphal West.

According to police officials, ten individuals have been arrested in connection with the case so far, seven of whom are believed to be members of Arambai Tenggol.

Md. Chesam Abdul Kadir, also known as Achouba, aged 29, and a resident of Paobitek Mayai Leikai in Imphal West District, was last seen on June 11. His body was discovered on June 17 at Samurou Naorem Nambulmapal by the State Police.
