NEW DELHI, Dec 31: The Make in India initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 25, 2014, has completed a landmark decade, playing a pivotal role in India’s nation-building efforts. Over the past ten years, this initiative has empowered the nation to transition from ‘Make in India’ to ‘Made in India,’ showcasing remarkable progress in manufacturing, innovation, and economic growth.

Designed to revitalize the manufacturing sector, enhance job creation, and boost the economy by fostering local production, Make in India has evolved into a global success story. The second phase of the program, known as Make in India 2.0, now encompasses 27 sectors and continues to drive forward with renewed vigor, reinforcing India’s position as a major player in the global manufacturing landscape.
