CHURACHANDPUR, March 2: Manipur deputy chief minister Losii Dikho on Monday assured family members of deceased BJP MLA Vungzagin Valte that the state government will provide all possible assistance to the family.
Dikho made the assurance while visiting the residence of Valte in Churachandpur district headquarters.
Dikho met with Valte’s wife and sons and offered a traditional shawl signifying deep respect towards the deceased Zomi tribe legislator.
Valte of Thanlon constituency was severely injured during a mob atack in Imphal’s Nagamapal area in the early days of ethnic conflict in Manipur. He passed away
on February 21 at a private hospital in Gurugram.
Dikho, a Naga Peoples’ Front leader, also met with reprentatives of Zomi Coordination Committee (ZCC) at the Paite Tribe Conference hall and discussed matters related to delivering justice to the family members and demands raised by Committee.
Dikho later told media he had come to meet the bereaved family members of the deceased MLA and assured to give all possible assistance to the family.
