IMPHAL, Jan 4: Ajay Kumar Bhalla, the newly sworn-in Governor of Manipur, conducted a high-level security review meeting on Saturday to evaluate the state’s law and order situation. The meeting, held at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal, was attended by senior officials from the Manipur Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and Assam Rifles.
Governor Bhalla, who recently assumed office as the 19th Governor of Manipur, focused on the prevailing security conditions, particularly in border areas. He directed the Director General of Police (DGP), Rajiv Singh, to prioritize the safety and security of the public. The Governor also emphasized the need for seamless coordination between the Army and paramilitary forces to maintain peace and order throughout the state.
The meeting was attended by Kuldiep Singh, Security Advisor to the Manipur government; Maj Gen Ravroop Singh, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-South); and senior officials from the CRPF and BSF.
