IMPHAL, May 8: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the second Organising Committee Meeting for the much-anticipated Shirui Lily Festival 2025 at the Raj Bhavan conference hall today, focusing on a seamless and impactful execution of the prestigious cultural event.
The session brought together top state officials, district authorities, and key stakeholders involved in the planning and coordination of the festival. Detailed discussions were held on a wide range of operational elements including budget allocation, event scheduling, enhanced security protocols, transport logistics, and crowd management strategies.
The Governor emphasized the importance of infrastructure development and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure that the event, which celebrates the rare and endemic Shirui Lily flower, runs efficiently and safely.
The meeting also reviewed accommodation arrangements for tourists, curated cultural programs reflecting local traditions, and promotional campaigns aimed at boosting tourism and visibility for the region.
Attendees included the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, various commissioners and secretaries, as well as the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts. Representatives from the festival’s organising committee and other key officials were also present.
The Shirui Lily Festival has grown into one of Manipur’s most prominent cultural and tourism events, attracting thousands of visitors from across India and abroad. The 2025 edition promises expanded programming and improved facilities, aiming to both enhance the visitor experience and promote the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.
