Imphal, August 4: Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Monday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Water ATM at Sainik School Imphal, marking a significant step towards providing clean drinking water and promoting environmental sustainability among cadets and staff.
The Governor began his visit by paying solemn tribute at the ‘Amar Jawan’ memorial and was accorded a formal Guard of Honour by the cadets. During the visit, he reviewed key infrastructure developments, including the progress on the Girls’ Hostel.

As part of the event, the Governor inaugurated a state-of-the-art Water ATM to ensure safe and clean drinking water for cadets and staff. He also participated in a tree plantation drive alongside the First Lady, planting Holy Rudraksha saplings under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative.
Further encouraging the students, Governor Bhalla released the school’s annual magazine Orchid and urged cadets to strive for excellence through discipline, dedication, and a strong sense of patriotism.
