Manipur Govt Intensifies Search for Missing Youth, Announces ₹10 Lakh Reward for Information

IMPHAL, March 29: The State Government has announced a reward of ₹10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh) for any informant who provides credible information leading to the safe return of the missing 20-year-old boy from Imphal, Luwangthem Mukesh (20), son of L. Gyanendra Das of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Imphal West.

According to a statement from the Home Secretariat, a case was registered under FIR No. 90(3)2025 IPS u/s 140(1)/142/3(5) BNS at Imphal Police Station in connection with the disappearance.

Manipur Police, in collaboration with Assam Rifles and other security forces, have initiated a comprehensive search and rescue operation. The operation is being conducted under the supervision of a senior-level officer and involves advanced technical data analysis and intelligence gathering across suspected areas, including Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Noney, and several other districts within the state.
