Imphal, July 16: In a landmark development for aviation education in Manipur, the No. 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC has inaugurated the state’s first aircraft flight simulator — the Microlite VIRUS SW-80 — at its unit in Thangmeiband, DM College Campus, Imphal. The facility aims to enhance early aviation exposure for cadets across the state.

The newly launched simulator will provide over 1,300 Air Wing cadets with safe, cost-effective, and immersive flight training before transitioning to actual flight operations. The system will simulate various flight scenarios and techniques, offering hands-on learning in aerodynamics, maneuvering, and cockpit procedures.
