IMPHAL, Feb 21: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has issued a strong warning regarding the ongoing crisis in Manipur, suggesting that those responsible for the situation may soon face a massive public uprising once the truth behind the events is revealed. Speaking to reporters at the International Mother Language Day celebration at GP College, Sanajaoba questioned how authorities would manage the situation if such a movement were to erupt.
The MP expressed deep concern over the severe hardships that the people of Manipur have endured for nearly two years amid the ongoing crisis. He pointed out the excessive political maneuvering surrounding the issue and stressed the urgent need for unity and a consensus-based resolution to safeguard the well-being of the people.
Sanajaoba also referenced the recent arrests of village volunteers, noting that the public would soon begin to investigate the underlying causes behind these actions. While he hinted that these developments required closer scrutiny, he refrained from providing further details.
Without naming any specific individuals, political figures, or civil society organizations, the Titular King of Manipur issued a stern warning, suggesting that the consequences of the current situation could surpass those of the June 18 uprising. He called on all parties involved in the ongoing crisis to step forward and work together for a peaceful resolution, urging a collective effort to restore stability and peace in the state.
