IMPHAL, Dec 3: In a significant operation, Manipur Police arrested three armed miscreants and apprehended a juvenile from Kshetrigao Sabal Leikai in Imphal East District on December 1.
According to the Police, the individuals were found roaming in the area with the intention of committing prejudicial activities, including extortion from the general public and government officials, as well as threatening local residents.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were members of Arambai Tenggol. The arrested persons were identified as Ningombam Lemba Singh, aged 25, Mangshatabam Poireinganba Meitei, aged 21, and Laishram Bidyas Singh, also aged 21.
During the operation, police recovered a Ghatak rifle with a magazine and five live rounds, a .32 country-made pistol with a magazine, three mobile phones, a four-wheeler vehicle, and other incriminating items from their possession.
