IMPHAL, March 28: Manipur Police has intensified its search for 20-year-old Luwangthem Mukesh, who has been missing since March 16, 2025. Collaborating with the Assam Rifles and other security agencies, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to locate him.
Mukesh, the son of L. Gyanendra Das from Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, was last seen in the Bishnupur and Churachandpur border areas. Security forces have zeroed in on strategic locations, focusing their operations around Joujangtek and Old Cachar road.
Authorities have urged citizens to step forward with any information that could aid in locating Mukesh and ensure his safe return. The search operation is being strengthened through advanced technical data analysis and intelligence gathering. High-level security coordination meetings are underway to refine strategies and enhance the search efforts. Officials emphasize that the police are committed to resolving the case swiftly while maintaining law and order across the region.
Additionally, in connection with the missing case of the 20-year-old, the MLA of Keishamthong AC, Sapam Nishikanta, met Manipur Governor AK Bhalla on Thursday to highlight the plight of the parents and to call his attention to overseeing the search efforts. The MLA informed that the Governor is being updated daily on the efforts made. He also stated that he has held discussions with the Brigadier and the Director General of Manipur Police regarding the issue.
