Imphal, October 3: Security forces in Manipur have arrested four militants belonging to different banned outfits, including the self-styled “commander-in-chief” of the Chin Kuki Mizo Army (CKMA), officials said on Friday.

On October 1, security forces apprehended Paokholen Guite, the CKMA leader from P. Mongjang village in Churachandpur district, during an operation at S. Munuam under Churachandpur police station. Police said Guite was actively involved in trafficking weapons and narcotics across the India–Myanmar border for non-Suspension of Operations (SoO) outfits such as the United Kuki National Army (UKNA), besides running extortion rackets.
