Imphal, August 19: Manipur’s Sarangthem Nirupama made a remarkable mark at the Miss Universe India 2025 grand finale held in Jaipur on August 18. The young beauty from Kakching Khunou Lamhaba Leikai not only secured the coveted 4th Runner-Up position but also bagged the Miss Popular title, reflecting her charisma and overwhelming public support.
Nirupama, a psychology student at CT University, Punjab, has steadily risen in the pageant world, having earlier won Miss Manipur 2022 and Mega Miss Northeast 2023. Her latest achievement has further cemented her reputation as one of the brightest faces from the region, showcasing both talent and determination on a national stage.
The glittering finale, organized by the Glamanand Group in association with K Sera Sera Box Office and directed by National Director Nikhil Anand, saw fierce competition among contestants from across the country. Manika Vishwakarma of Rajasthan emerged as the winner, receiving the crown from outgoing titleholder Rhea Singha. She will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.
Other winners included Tanya Sharma (Uttar Pradesh) as 1st Runner-Up, Mehak Dhingra as 2nd Runner-Up, and Amishi Kaushik (Haryana) as 3rd Runner-Up. Adding to the Northeast’s strong presence, Mizoram’s Evelyn Zachhingpuii also reached the Top 20 finalists.
