SENAPATI, Dec 20: The Maram Khullen Baptist Church Women’s Society celebrated its Golden Jubilee on December 19, marking 50 years of service with the theme “Through God Reflecting Spiritual Journey” (Colossians 2:2).
The jubilee programme was graced by former chairpersons and secretaries of the society, church leaders, and invited guests. Rev. H. Kaba Maram, Executive Secretary of the Manipur Rongmei Naga Baptist Association (MRNBA), attended as Administrator, while Mrs. R. S. Taipila delivered the jubilee message as Speaker.
Key highlights of the ceremony included the unfurling of the jubilee flag by Mrs. K. Kula, Founding Chairperson of the Maram Khullen Baptist Church Women’s Society; dedication of the Jubilee Hall by Rev. Ch. Thuiba, former President of MRNBA; and release of the jubilee souvenir by Rev. Chris Maraiba, Mission Secretary of MRNBA. Exhortations were given by Rev. Aping Khamrang, Pastor of Somdal Baptist Church, and a greetings message was delivered by Miss R. Alphina, Women Secretary of MRNBA.
While unfurling the flag, the founding chairperson invoked “The Parable of the Sower,” stating that the seed sown 50 years ago has borne fruit through God’s faithfulness. Underscoring the jubilee theme, Mrs. Taipila reflected on the journey of the Women’s Society, paying tribute to the founding chairperson and secretary who, defying societal barriers and challenges, laid a strong foundation that has led to the present milestone.
She stressed that a jubilee is a time of reconciliation rooted in love, which she described as the greatest of all virtues. Highlighting the Women’s Society as an integral part of church ministry, she noted that without its role, humanity cannot be fully liberated from bondage. She also encouraged the congregation to reaffirm their faith in God and to embark on a renewed spiritual journey.
The celebration featured special prayers, fellowships, and musical renditions, and concluded with the de-hoisting of the jubilee flag by Mrs. R. N. Hanah, Golden Jubilee Convenor.
