IMPHAL, Nov 12: BJP MLA Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh on Wednesday said that the meeting with National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh and North East Coordinator Sambit Patra focussed on strengthening party internal structure.
Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh told reporters “this meeting was to strengthen the party organisation and to make it more stronger than it was before.”
Ranjan was among more than twenty BJP MLAs who attended the meeting with the two central leaders at state party office.
On government formation, the Konthoujam constituency MLA said “there are certain process and things cannot happen overnight.”
Meanwhile, another legislator who attended the meeting Tongbram Robindro told reporters “we had long discussions with the central leaders and we deliberated on coming back (to power) in 2027 state assembly elections. We discussed on what are the measures that need be taken to achieve that. The MLAs need to go back to their respective constituencies and work with the people.”
On government formation, the Thanga constituency MLA said “central leaders are here. Government will definitely be formed and we are on working on that. The central leaders know the public sentiment as well as the expectations of the public. We also know some people are not happy with us.”
