NEW DELHI, April 15: The Government of Meghalaya has been honored with two prestigious awards by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for being the best-performing state in carrying out mandatory biometric updates (MBUs) of children and in verification of adult Aadhaar enrollment. The awards were presented at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in New Delhi.
These awards are a testament to the state’s exemplary performance in strengthening Aadhaar-related services and ensuring comprehensive and accurate enrollment for both children and adults across Meghalaya.
Representing the state, Shai Kupar War, Nodal Officer for Aadhaar from the General Administration Department (GAD), accepted the awards on behalf of the government.
Taking to social media, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said, “Meghalaya has been honored with two prestigious awards by UIDAI at the Aadhaar Samvaad event in New Delhi—for Best Performing State in Mandatory Biometric Updates of Children and in Verification of Adult Aadhaar Enrollment.”
“These recognitions reflect the unwavering commitment and hard work of our team in delivering inclusive and reliable Aadhaar services across the state. Heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved,” he added.
