New York, Sept 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed over 15,000 Indian-Americans at the ‘Modi & US: Progress Together’ event, emphasizing that India aims to contribute to global prosperity rather than seek dominance. He introduced the Hindi word ‘Pushp’ (flower) to illustrate his vision for India’s development, representing a Progressive, Unstoppable, Spiritual, Humanity-first, and Prosperous India.

In his speech, Modi outlined his government’s achievements and committed to working with greater urgency and strength in his third term to achieve ambitious goals. He expressed appreciation for President Joe Biden’s warm welcome during his recent visit to Delaware, highlighting it as a sign of respect for both the Indian people and the Indian-American community.

The event took place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, located about 50 kilometers from Manhattan. This gathering continues Modi’s tradition of connecting with the Indian diaspora during major U.S. visits, following previous events at Madison Square Garden in 2014, San Jose in 2015, the “Howdy Modi” rally in Houston in 2019, and a recent event in Washington, D.C.
