UKHRUL, March 27: The three-day Naga Baptist Leaders’ Meet 2025, concluded on Thursday in a powerful note with a solemn ‘March for Unity and Solidarity’, from Long Ground, Ukhrul to the Union Baptist Church (UBC).
The march began with a prayer of blessing led by Rev Izieteilung Tering, the State Chaplain of Nagaland, and was marked by ordained ministers dressed in cassocks leading the procession, followed by hundreds of leaders in a display of unity. This symbolic march brought the historic gathering to a poignant end, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity among Naga leaders.
The Naga Baptist Leaders also resolved to strengthen their faith, love, and oneness in Christ, with a commitment to work towards community care, unity in worship, and witnessing Christ in both words and deeds. The leaders proposed organizing a prayer summit in the near future to further solidify their mission.
At the UBC, Rev Dr Akheto Sema, the General Secretary of CBCNEI, led the Holy Communion Service, symbolizing unity in the body of Christ.
Imnatoshi Longkumer, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing that true oneness in Christ must be grounded in divine truth, not personal rights or beliefs. He urged the believers to relinquish their rights for Christ and upheld the belief that only God’s truth could truly unite them.
The event concluded with a benediction by Rev L Timothy, Pastor of Namdulong Baptist Church, bringing a spiritual end to the gathering.
