KOHIMA, Dec 4: The Hornbill Esports Championship Season 2 is all set to electrify gaming enthusiasts as the Grand LAN Finals take place on December 8 and 9 at IG Stadium, Kohima. The event is being organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in partnership with the Esports Association of Nagaland.
This year’s championship promises to be Nagaland’s biggest esports gathering yet, featuring a total prize pool of ₹10 lakh. Sixteen teams will battle it out in BGMI, while eight teams will compete in Mobile Legends. The event will also host individual tournaments in E-Chess, E-Football and FC 25.
With 512 team athletes and 240 individual gamers participating, officials say the 2025 edition has drawn the highest esports participation the state has ever witnessed. Adding to the excitement, an Esports Music Festival will take place on December 9 as part of the celebrations.
