Dimapur, August 13: Enoch Sukhato Wotsa, DMC Councillor and Vice President of the NDPP Youth Organisation, Dimapur Region, was arrested by Assam Police and the Excise Department for allegedly smuggling alcohol.

According to officials, Wotsa was apprehended smuggling alcohol in a government registered vehicle and another vehicle bearing an NDPP car sticker. Authorities confirmed that Wotsa is the son of Dr. Sukhato Wotsa, MLA from 13 A/C Pughoboto, Nagaland.

Both vehicles and the seized consignment have been taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation.
